Still waiting...
...Wow! It's been a while since I've driven my car. I expected to get Old Blue back today, but we're still trying to find an elusive part. It's really tough to find parts for L body Mopars--or any Mopars for that matter. Dodge Omnis are weird cars. Really, they are. They look just like VW Rabbits/Golfs, but have virtually nothing in common with them--save the 1.6L engine used from time to time. They came about in a time when front wheel drive cars were pretty uncommon, even among economy cars. Now FWD is standard for most sedans. The Omni/Horizon twins, and most Chrysler vehicles, were more like imports than domestics. They had strange new features like cup holders, gas-filled trunk lift supports, overhead camshafts, and electronic ignition, EFI and turbochargers (GLH) before they were common. Now, most have become only a solemn, decaying, footnote in automotive history. Lets hope Old Blue fares better than her brethren. Sleep well...
