I miss my car...

I took my car in on Monday, but it's so difficult to get parts for an '87 Omni, I'll have to wail until at least next Monday to get it back.  It's been about five or six years since I've been without my car for an entire week.  I didn't think I'd miss driving my on car this month.  The weekend will be even worse.  I always love to drive, especially Saturdays and Sundays.  Well, at least I'll have a new carburetor baseplate gasket (that's what crippled my car last Sunday; the carburetor almost fell off of the intake manifold it was so loose), timing belt, and some other things I need.  I won't have to worry about breaking down any more.  I know that's worth it, and Old Blue will be much more fun to drive when she's running better--hell, she should run like new.  Best of all, I probably won't need a new carburetor.  I've got to start doing more updates.
